Ms. Mason to your church

Miss Mason's ideas are timeless, based in scripture and Christian principle at their very core, so what better method for teaching Sunday school!

By publishing ROOTED, we want to take out some of the guesswork and intimidation - everything is planned out and guided, which makes it easier to implement in larger groups.

Structure + Components of a Charlotte Mason
Sunday School

  • The younger years are encourage to focus on key Old Testament and Gospel Stories

  • Elementary ages students take a deep look at the Old Testament and the first three Gospels

  • Older Students do a dig into the Prophets and John, Acts and the Epistles.

To accomplish this...

  • READ SCRIPTURE - read by episode and take plenty of time to narrate

  • Incorporate Ms. Mason's principles of Art Study, Recitation, Handicraft, Book of Centuries, Hymn Study and more

  • Read OTHER living books - study heroes of the faith, great missionaries, and church history in the older grades

What about quantifiable benchmarks?

Students who engage in a CM inspired Sunday school will...

  • experience inductive and deductive study of scripture through narrating

  • explore the greatest writings of Christian History

  • gain exposure to hymns and hallmark poetry of the Christian Faith

  • Learn to take ownership of their Faith and Christian Education

  • experience a higher level of retention through the process or narrating their lessons and dialoguing with their teacher, in lieu of worksheets and straight memorization.
