These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.
Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

MISSION
The mission of this curriculum is tied intrinsically into it’s implementation.

This is not simply a Sunday School curriculum that can be checked off once completed, and it’s not meant to be.
The mission of this series is two fold:
-
To disciple our children using the Bible as our primary text and supplementing with beautiful literature and art in order to make disciples that love the Lord and know how deeply they are loved by Him.
-
To train parents in discipling their own children.

This is not a curriculum that relies on the content alone to reach the hearts of the children.
Rather, through the stories, dialogue and classroom consistency of habit training (see below), parents will be taught that every moment is teachable and is an opportunity for training (Deut. 6) and classroom distractions, behavioral issues and everyday life are the substance of our discipleship with our children.

In this aim, you will not find the typical quantifiable benchmarks of a normal Sunday School Curriculum.
There are no checkmarks or worksheets to indicate that the children have, after being exposed to content, fully learned a subject. Our goal is to find the balance of Spirit AND Truth - so that our children are not just "hearers of the Word" - but also "doers"!

There are definite parameters, routines, schedules, lesson plans, dialogue prompts, memorization texts and activities contained within this manual, to be used as tools in the discipleship process.
However, the mission of this curriculum is to follow the Great Commission and to make disciples, so the most valued quantifiable result will be seen in the fruit of the lives of the children that sit under this teaching.

My prayer is that the end result will be a generation of students that are, through conscientious follow-through and training, walking in the immeasurable love and power of the Father, having been taught how to attain the overcoming life and knowing that ALL things are possible for those who believe!
“Children are not a distraction from the most important work.
They ARE the most important work”
